ASM has a full-time Indigenous Student Advocates on staff.

At ASM, we are a team and work together with our students & families.  Parents/Guardians are encouraged to connect with the Gathering room so together we can create a community that your child and family will be proud to be a part of.

Using the local Syilx teachings of the Four Food Chiefs as our guide:

♥ We support children, fostering intellectual & cultural growth through an Indigenous mindset.

♥ We empower each student to explore & strengthen their personal identity.

♥ We offer cultural opportunities that strengthen home, school and community connections.

Some of the ways that we offer support may include:

♥ Ensuring students feel supported and included within the school setting

♥ Supporting attendance and punctuality if required

♥ Fostering academic and personal/behavior goal setting

♥ Encouraging positive self-esteem & peer interaction

♥ Help each child build positive relationships with school staff & students

♥ Supporting Parental/Guardian involvement

♥ Offering access to resources available from our Indigenous Education Program and outside agencies

Our goal is to support your children and help them to reach their full potential. We want every child to have a positive and enriching experience during their time at ASM. We are always happy to work with our families and provide support through any concerns or issues.

Please feel free to contact us Monday to Friday from 8:00-3:30.
